An Art Deco Modernist Eucalyptus Tallboy, c1930

For your consideration is this very striking and imposing Art Deco Tallboy with a modernist slant. The origin of this tall boy is unknown but possibly Australian. The veneers offer a wonderful and unusual grain with the body of the tallboy made from Mahogany and veneered in Eucalyptus, it's of a mid / light tone colouring easily integrating with modern and period settings. The upper section offers a very generous sized interior with a single shelf with below having three deep spaced drawers, all running smoothly and without effort. The whole is raised on a slightly darker wooden plinth. The handles are exceptionally nice and we know Art Deco fans will appreciate the detail, featuring a chrome back plate with a strawberry coloured marble effect phenolic bakelite bar handle.We've had the whole piece taken through our workshops to be professionally restored, everything works as it should, this piece definitely won't disappoint.
